Description: There is a model I have worked with for years, her name is Aviva, and at time I was finishing a bust of her to exhibit, the news that she had passed reached me. I decided when it came time to exhibit this bust of Aviva, I would create a short write of up the history of our “Model and Artist” relationship and exhibit this write up along-side my sculpture of her. One person in particular shared with me, how she felt the spirit of Aviva was alive when she looked at my piece and that she was very moved by my honoring of her in this presentation. This made me feel connected within that very special human moment. It is a moment I will never forget.
